It was January 2021 when we became involved in the technical stages and delivery of this design that architect Andrew Shaw had achieved Planning permission for in Edinburgh. Fascinatingly he integrated innovative bio-receptive panels that were designed by Prof. Marcos Cruz at the Bartlett’s Bio-ID studio. They retain water, collect seeds and plant life, to grow and green the facade. The garden room annexe is used for sunny days and is also separate enough for visitors to have their own space.
