Leo, the fifth sign in the Zodiac, is named for one of the earliest recognized symbolic constellations. Its representation is associated with the Nemean lion, a vicious beast from Greek Mythology who was undefeatable by human weaponry but ultimately defeated by the demigod, Heracles.
