Capricorn, the tenth sign in the Zodiac, is named for the constellation Capricornus, which is Latin for “horned goat” or “goat horn”. Since the Middle Bronze Age, it has often been represented as a sea goat (a horned goat with the tail of a fish). In Greek mythology, this constellation is often identified with Amalthea, the goat who suckled Zeus as a baby.
