Fake Scientific Document Titles

Fake titles, names, descriptions or overviews for documents related to maths, physics, biology and more!

In many science fiction stories, shows films etc, there is a moment when a reference to a important scientific document, hypothesis , discovery , notes etc, is made, such as “Einstein's theory of general relativity” or “Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy) by Sir Isaac Newton.

These documents often contain important work, formula or ideas and theories that are of high importance in their field or the wider world. Some though may be lost, controversial or in some cases outright rejected or abandoned by the creator, only to resurface and be re-examined years later when new data or evidence comes to light!

E.g. “We’ve found Richard Feynman's revised postulate! Thought that had been lost!”

This publication gives you a system for determining the author, type of document and its status, but, obviously, not the contents! 50 examples made using this system are included.

Note - this may by accident create/recreate the names/titles/overviews of papers, journals, documents etc. that already exist. As you can imagine, it would be almost impossible to check all combinations that can be made.

Example outputs include...

  • Equation of Hans Bethe
  • Newton's indisputable teaching
  • Richard Feynman's revised postulate
  • Seventh contention of Fleming
  • Unconfirmed document of Katharine McCormick
