Early Encounters: Besiege at Summerset

Slay the dragon, rescue the princess, save the world. Are not these the dreams of all who answer the adventurer’s call? But so many adventures for 1st level characters are glorified busy work; route vermin, clean out sewers, chase off bandits. Early Encounters is designed to give low level characters the chance to go on these grander adventures and face challenges normally reserved for higher level characters; all the while being balanced to give low lever characters an appropriate challenge.

Summerset is under attack! An army of Hobgoblins stands outside the city ready to attack. They’ve kidnapped the Governor’s daughter thinking her a princess, and demand the city’s surrender else she dies and the city is razed. Will the players be able to stop the goblinoid forces and save both the captured maiden and the city before it’s too late? Or will the hobgoblin forces have their way?
